EpiPen® / EpiPen® Junior (adrenaline)
Auto-Injectors 300/150 mcg
The EpiPen® Trainer Pen is easy to tell apart from EpiPen®. The label clearly states EpiPen® Trainer and it is pale blue and grey in colour.
The Trainer Pen:
- Is reusable so patients can practice as many times as they like.
- Works in the same way as the EpiPen® but doesn't contain a needle or any adrenaline.
- The Trainer Pen and the active EpiPen® Auto-Injector should not be routinely carried together in order to avoid confusion in an emergency situation.
How to use
To reset the Trainer Pen after use, first replace the blue safety cap. Then place the orange tip on a hard surface, squeeze the sides of the orange tip and push down.
The training device and the active EpiPen Auto-Injector should not be routinely carried together in order to avoid confusion in an emergency situation.1,2
